PELAGOS PROJECT: Development and strengthening of surveillance systems, security and control, In cooperation with the Technical University of Bari (Politecnico di Bari)

The PELAGOS project (Interreg IIIA) aims at developing an advanced security system using biometrical methods for inspecting penetration in certain areas of the Greek-Italian borders.Such border points actually identified in Corfu, because of their geographical location, with an increase in permeability factors for transporting people and goods. The expected result is an innovative monitoring tool that aims to increase current levels of security in some areas of external borders which are located in two countries participating in the Greece-Italy.
